Waterton has always been more than just a vacation spot—it’s rich with nostalgia and beauty, especially for Blake. Having grown up visiting this cosy town nestled within Waterton Lakes National Park, it holds a special place in his heart. Over the years, he’s shared his love for it with Tracy, and now it has become one of our favourite escapes.
What makes Waterton so unique? It’s a rare blend of small-town charm and breathtaking natural beauty. Surrounded by towering peaks and crystal-clear lakes, the town feels like a hidden gem, untouched by time. It’s the kind of place where every visit feels like a step back into a simpler, more peaceful world.
One of the highlights of our trips is spending time with Blake’s parents. Their connection to the town adds a layer of warmth to every visit, whether sharing stories of past trips or discovering new experiences together. There’s something uniquely special about retracing old memories while creating new ones with family.

The hikes in Waterton are unforgettable, and one of our favourites is the trail to see the waterfalls. Whether it’s the gentle cascade of Cameron Falls right in town or the more adventurous hikes to remote falls in the park, each feels like stepping into a postcard. The serenity of the rushing water and the sense of accomplishment after the hike make those moments truly memorable.
And then, of course, there’s the food. Waterton’s restaurants are as unique as the town itself, each offering a distinct vibe and cosy ambience. From hearty breakfasts to quiet dinners, each meal feels like an experience. There’s nothing quite like savouring a delicious meal after a day of exploring, with the charm of Waterton wrapping around you like a warm blanket.
For Blake, Waterton is a cherished part of his past; for Tracy, it’s become a treasured part of our shared story. It’s a town that feels like it has a soul—a place that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply enjoy being.
